You can enquire about hiring our annexe to the church with its kitchenette, or the older church hall, and stage, and/or its lounge with kitchen and toilets.
We have a large hall space, and a carpeted lounge with a working kitchen area attached which may be hired. These buildings are behind the church and are at an older standard but with effective heating. They have been used for children’s parties, dance groups, exercise classes, youth groups, choir rehearsal etc. The hall is the size of a badminton court.
We can also hire the meeting space attached to the church, newly completed in 2012, easily heated with kitchenette and toilets. This has a capacity of up to 60 seats and has been used for teaching workshops, music groups, after wedding refreshments etc.
Parking near the buildings is ample for small groups, say for 25 vehicles maximum on site. However there is a public car park opposite the church towards Jackson Street : between Britannia Street and Richmond Street. Street parking is not time restricted.
We do have a policy restricting the consumption of alcohol, will prioritise Christian projects, and will require a bond to cover damage especially to carpets, and heating costs. The church is also sometimes required for funerals at short notice, on a weekday, which may impact on your use.
We have regular usage already booked for months in to the future, so although you are welcome to contact us please consider these aspects in advance.
Our standard rates are reasonable, hourly, and are reviewed each year.
